CBS Films in talks for 'Psychopaths'
CBS Films will come aboard Martin McDonagh's "Seven Psychopaths" and it is in discussions to co-finance the black comedy.When the deal experiences, CBS Films would distribute "Psychopaths" locally. CBS Films confirmed the discussions Friday.Project was introduced in the Cannes Film Festival with Hanway selling worldwide privileges with Mike Rockwell, Mickey Rourke and Christopher Walken joining Colin Farrell. Rourke is presently not connected to the project.Directed and composed by "In Bruges" helmer Martin McDonagh, pic is going to be created by Blueprint Pictures' Graham Broadbent and Pete Czernin with Tessa Ross as professional producer.Story follows a film writer (Farrell) battling for inspiration for his script, "Seven Psychopaths," who will get attracted in to the dog kidnapping schemes of his oddball buddies (Rockwell and Walken). Things have a turn for that worse whenever a gangster's mutt gets lost.The project reunites McDonagh, Broadbent, Czernin, Ross and Farrell, who all labored together on hitman pic "In Bruges."CBS Films professional Vice president Scott Shooman will oversee the project.Deal comes a next day of Amy Baer introduced she'll be exiting her publish as leader and Boss of CBS Films, 4 years after she became a member of the organization, and intends to segue to some producer role. CBS Films made the biggest acquisition in the Toronto Intl.
